Bioinformatics: Current perspectives and future directions in food

This is a great read led by founder Dr. Nora Khaldi and co-authors (T. Holton, and V. Vijayakumara) in the journal of Trends in Food Science & Technology [1]. The authors show and discuss how pharma have advanced massively by using bioinformatics in their research pipeline. The publication also address how the use of bioinformatics is a necessary step to advance food and nutritional research. The authors discuss the current uses of bioinformatics in food and nutrition to date, and propose a the concept of a food wiki.
